In a promising move toward global textile collaboration, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has revealed the strong potential for setting up apparel manufacturing units at the PM MITRA Park in Dhar (M.P), in partnership with Spanish fashion giant Inditex. During his visit to Spain, Yadav met with the Inditex leadership team, including Mr. Jose M. Romay and Ms. Marta Francos Rey, at their A Coruna headquarters. The discussions focused on investment and long-term collaboration in Madhya Pradesh's thriving textile sector.
Yadav highlighted that the state has introduced a progressive set of Industrial and Export Policies aimed at making Madhya Pradesh a preferred destination for global investors. These policies are designed to encourage sustainability, renewable energy use, and strong environmental and labor standards, in perfect alignment with Inditex's sourcing principles.
"Our vision is rooted in ESG values, emphasizing water conservation, waste management, and labor welfare. We aim to lead in clean energy while creating a business-friendly ecosystem," CM Yadav said. He also underlined that such a partnership could significantly strengthen Madhya Pradesh's position in the global apparel supply chain.
The potential arrival of Inditex at PM MITRA Park holds the promise of not just export growth but also a positive socio-economic impact. Yadav expressed optimism that this collaboration could unlock new employment opportunities, empower women, and lay a strong foundation for sustainable industrial development in the region.
This strategic meeting marks a step forward in transforming Madhya Pradesh into a global textile and apparel manufacturing hub, while fostering sustainable growth and building long-lasting global partnerships.
